Are you ready for the pura vida adventure of a lifetime? Join Xperitas for a 10-day Spanish immersion experience designed for high school students who want to explore the vibrant culture, lush landscapes, and incredible biodiversity of Costa Rica — all while practicing their Spanish with a local naturalist guide, peers, and community members. This unique program is ideal for students looking for an unforgettable cultural journey abroad. You’ll be accompanied by experienced assigned Travel Coordinators from Xperitas’s network of esteemed teachers and contacts, stay in welcoming lodges and hotels, and travel with other Spanish learners from across the U.S.
TENTATIVE program dates: June 21-30, 2027. Dates will be finalized once a group air contract is confirmed. We recommend that families reserve a day on either end of the itinerary just in case, for any reason, we need to edit the travel dates at all. All travel dates are tentative, pending Xperitas and airline confirmation.
Please note, the order of this itinerary and all itinerary items are subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances that may arise prior to or during the program.

At Xperitas, we work with teachers to provide their students with outstanding language and cultural immersion experiences. We believe that when students have an authentic experience outside of the classroom, using their language skills in a different culture, they make a deeper cultural connection. Our programs are designed to inspire students to make personal connections with communities worldwide and gain greater cultural awareness. Benefits reported to us by teachers, parents and the students themselves are as follows:
A better understanding of language and the nuance of dialect
An understanding of language within the context of the culture
A greater awareness of different perspectives
A sense of increased independence, self-sufficiency, and cultural competence
